A_Sad_Man_ represents the second emotional stage explored within the Human_Traces_ collection: emotional solitude.

The sculpture depicts a seated human figure composed of curved horizontal steel ribs, a structural language that runs throughout the series. Through the progressive subtraction of anatomical detail, the body becomes a neutral presence an abstract human trace capable of reflecting universal emotional conditions.

In this work, the figure sits alone, slightly collapsed into itself. The posture suggests a moment of suspension: a state in which the individual is physically present in the world yet emotionally distant from it.

The piece investigates a specific form of solitude not the absence of people, but the experience of feeling deeply isolated even when surrounded by others.

Rather than narrating a defined story, A_Sad_Man_ invites a personal reflection. Each observer is confronted with their own memories of emotional distance, disconnection, and the silent spaces that can exist within human relationships.

The work was showcased during the Exhibition: Pensare con le mani in Piacenza, Italy from the 13 of Septembre till the 26 of Novembre.
